Nepali YouTuber Uma Rai was arrested in Sikkim. Vlogger and YouTuber Uma Chamling Rai has been arrested in Sikkim. Rai of Khotang was arrested by the Sikkim Police on the charge of trying to incite communal violence.
In her latest YouTube video, Rai called upon the Rai community of Sikkim to stand up for their rights. Sila Rai, the leader of Sikkim’s Krantikari Morcha Party (SKM), filed a complaint at the Sadar police station after watching the video. In his complaint, it is mentioned that he was trying to spread communal violence and terror among the residents of Sikkim with the aim of influencing the upcoming assembly elections in India.
Based on that, the police arrested Uma on Saturday, according to the Indian media outlet The Print. Rai is being investigated by the local court, with a deadline of five days.
On the other hand, the activists of the Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) are demanding Rai’s release.
Some of the users will make violent activities happen on YouTube, even if they get an Indian police case investment on it. Even I was shocked while reading this news.
I think she will share it out of the lot’s own video shot to make mistakes happen towards the Sikkim place to do. Even the people will be worried to listen to this news over there.
