12000 tourists in Punhil during the Current Year have visited the popular tourist spots of Myagdi, Ghodepani, and Punhill, which are covered by the circular Annapurna footpath, in the last four and a half months.
According to Tourist Police Office Ghodepani, 12,361 foreign tourists visited the Punhil area from July to November 10th. Ghodepani is a popular choice for tourists on the Annapurna Cycle Path.
Assistant Police Inspector Tara Budha Magar informed that 976 people visited in July, 993 in August, 3111 in October, 5779 in October, and 1502 in December.
According to him, the office has been keeping the statistics of tourists coming through Pokhrebgar, Chitrehuai Ghodepani of Myagdi, and Ulleri, Ghandruk of Kaski. Previously, only the statistics of foreign tourists were kept, but recently, the statistics of domestic tourists coming through the footpath have also been kept. Domestic tourists also visit Ghodepani from 2 to 3 thousand per month during the tourist season.
