Qatar 1-3 Senegal Live Update: FIFA World Cup 2022 made it 2-0 for Senegal just minutes into the second half. Senegal goalkeeper Edouard Mendy also made a couple of world-class saves before super-sub Mohammad Muntari pulled one back for Qatar with an exquisite header. Bamba Dieng then scored to make it 3-1 for Senegal. Earlier, Boulaye Dia slotted in the opening goal of the match, pouncing on the opportunity as Qatar’s defense made a rare mistake to put Senegal 1-0 up minutes before half-time.

Senegal enjoyed plenty of possession in the first half and also had a few half-chances to open the scoring but they had to wait for the eventual opener. Qatar, however, did well for the most part of the half in keeping their slate clear.

Qatar will be looking to continue its impressive start to the FIFA World Cup 2022 when they take on Senegal in Group C on Friday.

The Qataris got their campaign off to the perfect start with a 1-0 win over Uruguay on Sunday, thanks to a late goal from Almoez Ali.

That victory has put Qatar in a strong position to progress to the knockout stages, and they will be hoping to take another step towards that goal with a win over Senegal.

Senegal, meanwhile, will be looking to bounce back from their opening game defeat to Russia. The Africans were beaten 3-0 by the Russians in their opener and will need to improve if they are to stand any chance of getting out of the group.
