Dashain Tika 2083 falls on Kartik 4, 2083 BS, which corresponds to October 21, 2026. Dashain and Vijaya Dashami are considered one and the same—and indeed sound the same—so I would like to share the specific date for the Dashain “tika” ceremony. I am doing this in the hope that everyone understands this matter and helps others understand it as well, as such understanding is truly essential.
According to Hindu scriptures, various types of “tika” are applied during Dashain; for instance, while Brahmins typically wear a red “tika”, the white “tika” is associated with the Gurung community—though it is not exclusive to them, as I have seen other communities use it as well. Furthermore, depending on the specific tradition or occasion, the colour of the “tika” applied may vary.
You can check the paragraph above to see when the Tika falls for this year’s Dashain and when it falls for the year 2083. I have already shared the details regarding the specific timing and date of the Dashain Tika for the year 2083, and you can access that information.
