Shrawan Sankranti 2026 falls on July 17, 2026 (Shrawan 1, 2083 BS). This auspicious day marks the start of the holy month of Shrawan, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The month is historically celebrated with fasting, prayers, and wearing traditional green and red bangles.

On this day of Sankranti, many women also have the custom of applying mehndi on their hands, and it is also known as the day of throwing beads for children. Also, Mondays of every week are observed as a fast. Because they observe the fast of Shivaji.
