Along with this, sprinkle Gangajal on the main door, make the sign of Shubh-Labh and Swastika and also light a ghee lamp for Lakshmi ji. This paves the way for the arrival of Maa Lakshmi.
Keep these things in your house
To get the blessings of Lakshmi, you must keep a coconut in your house during the Mahalakshmi fast. Doing this pleases Goddess Lakshmi. Also, during the puja, take some white cowries and soak them in turmeric or saffron solution. Now after it dries, tie it in a red cloth and keep it in the place of money or in the safe. Doing this will never lead to financial problems.
Mahalaxmi Vrat Puja Vidhi
- On the day of Mahalaxmi Vrat, first of all, make a lotus with turmeric at the place of worship for Goddess Lakshmi.
- In the place of worship, install the idol of Goddess Lakshmi sitting on an elephant.
- Remember to keep Shriyantra in the worship. This is the favorite yantra of Goddess Lakshmi.
- Adorn Goddess Lakshmi with gold and silver coins, fruits and flowers.
- Fill a clean pot with water and keep it at the place of worship.
- Put a betel leaf in this pot and then place a coconut on it.
- Malpua is considered a symbol of sweetness and prosperity.
- To make Malpua, prepare two different batters from flour and khoya and offer it.
- Worship the Gajalakshmi form of Goddess Lakshmi along with Goddess Lakshmi in the worship.
- An elephant is also kept in the worship in this worship. A garland of lotus seeds is also kept in this worship.
- In this worship, kheer is made for the Goddess as prasad.
- After the worship, 16 lamps are also lit. The fast is broken the next day.
- Worship with fruits, flowers and whole rice. Offer water to the moon and end the fast.
Mahalaxmi Vrat Ka Mahatva
In Hinduism, Mahalaxmi Vrat is observed for 16 days. Although it is not a waterless fast, but food intake is prohibited. You can eat fruits in this fast. The fast is concluded on the 16th day.
