Elon Musk’s Announcement That He Will Launch A Spacecraft Within The Next Two Years To Settle A City On Mars The world’s richest entrepreneur, Elon Musk, has announced that he will launch the first rocket to Mars within the next two years. In a post on social network X on Saturday, he said that SpaceX’s starship will be launched for Mars within two years.
“The first Starship will be launched to Mars in the next two years as the opportunity for another Earth-Mars transfer opens up,” Musk said.
He mentioned that after this unmanned launch is successful, a manned vehicle will be launched to Mars within the next four years. Musk, who founded SpaceX in 2002, expects the rate of flights to increase unexpectedly after the success of these two launches. He said that the ultimate goal of this project is to build a city on Mars in the next 20 years.
Musk’s decision to establish a human settlement on Mars is not today. Billionaire husband Musk has announced the date many times. And later they changed the date.
In June 2016, Musk said at a conference that he plans to send humans to Mars by 2024. “If everything goes according to plan, we’ll probably be able to get people to Mars in 2024 and they’ll be on Mars in 2025,” Musk said at the time.
Then in 2020, Musk mentioned in an interview with Mathias Döfner, CEO of Axel Springer, that humans could reach Mars by 2026.
“If we’re lucky, we’ll probably make it in four years,” Musk said in a conversation with Dofner. But in March 2022, Musk said he expects to land humans on Mars by 2029.
