Bloody Ishq Movie Review reunite for yet another horror thriller after the Raaz franchise. But unlike that franchise, which at least had a story to follow, Bloody Ishq is a bloody mess. Written by Mahesh Bhatt and Suhrita Das, the suspense saga opens with a married couple, Romesh (Vardhan Puri) and Neha (Avika Gor), returning to their secluded private island off the coast of Scotland, where their house of horrors holds many secrets.
Bloody Ishq: Writing and Direction
The story by veteran filmmakers Mahesh and Das is so convoluted that by the time yet another twist is introduced, you just want the film to be over. The lead character Neha gets gaslighted by most of the characters in the film. Moreover, the tacky and heavy use of CGI sets, backgrounds, and spooky spirits is off-putting in the story.
Bloody Ishq: Performances
The two-hour and 18-minute film has two main characters played by Avika and Vardhaan, with a mysterious woman (Jeniffer Piccinato) showing up to see doubt for the couple. The Balika Vadhu actress looks as confused as we feel, and Vardhaan is flat throughout. Rahul Dev is wasted in a special appearance.
Bloody Ishq: Critique
Midway through the film, there’s a flashback sequence, which is clumsily explained using extremely bad CGI. Why couldn’t they just use the real actors? Vikram Bhatt’s latest horror is extremely soulless and dull. Even the twists are uninteresting. There was no real reason for this illogical film to be this long; furthermore, the finale is too dragged out. Bloody Ishq is a disappointment on all fronts.
