Finally a Spellcheck and Autocorrect Feature in Notepad as Well in Microsoft is going to bring the spellcheck feature to the Notepad app in Windows 11. By the end of 2024, the company is going to bring the spellcheck feature to Notepad to make it available to all users.
Currently, testers have access to this feature. This feature is said to work like the spell checker in Microsoft’s Word and Edge browsers.
Similarly, Microsoft is also going to provide an autocorrect feature in it. After this, you don’t have to keep clicking on the wrong words again and again. In addition, it is said that the spell checker in Notepad will support various languages other than English.
It is also said that this feature will be applied by default in some file types. However, it will not work on files related to coding. It is also said that it is possible to adjust the type of file to apply this feature from Notepad settings.
This will be the latest feature added to Notepad as an inbuilt app of Windows 11.
Earlier last December, Microsoft announced a character count (word count) feature in this app. Shortly after that, the company also provided the autosave feature. Currently, Notepad has features like the dark theme, tab, copilot AI integration, virtual fidget sniper, etc.
