According to the current economic and financial status report of the country issued by the Central Bank, in January 2079 (January–February 2023), transactions worth 17 billion 765 million rupees were transacted through QR. In January 2080, the transaction amount increased to 37 billion, 73 billion, and 34 million rupees, and payment was made through QR. In other words, the payment through a QR code has increased by 112.406 percent in one year.
Similarly, in January 2079, a payment equal to 17 billion 118 million rupees was made from the wallet. In January 2080, the transaction amount through the wallet increased to 23 billion, 872 million rupees. In other words, transactions through the wallet have increased by 39.46 percent in the past year.
Statistics show that e-commerce transactions have also increased. In January 2079, there was a turnover of 51 million rupees from e-commerce. In January 2080, there was a turnover of 656 million rupees from e-commerce.
Similarly, transactions through mobile banking have increased by 68.13 percent in the past year. In January 2079, a transaction worth one billion 72 billion 119 million rupees was transacted through this means. In January 2080, two billion, 89 billion, and 387 million rupees were traded.
Similarly, Rashtra Bank’s statistics have shown that the number of transactions through Connect IPS has increased significantly. In January 2079, 3 billion 34 million rupees were transacted through Connect IPS.
