Kandara’s songs until the 1960s are connected with Pokhara and the surrounding villages and soil. Remembering Gopal Yonjan, he sang ‘Jai Jai Nepal’ twice. Songwriter and composer Sunil Thapa was the only one among the old members of the Kandara Band to appear on stage.
The Pokhara Tourism Council has opened its musical doors in Pokhara by sending Kandara to promote tourism in all seven provinces.
