Today Is The Fourth Day Of Navratri 2025 And Goddess Kushmanda Is Being Worshipped

Today Is The Fourth Day Of Navratri 2025 And Goddess Kushmanda Is Being Worshipped. On the fourth day of Navratri, Kushmanda Devi is being worshipped with ritualistic rituals.

Every year, on the fourth day of the Durga Paksha, i.e., on the fourth day of the Ashwin Shukla Chaturthi, Kushmanda Devi is worshipped with ritualistic rituals. Durga Saptashati (Chandi), Shrimaddevi Bhagwat and other Goddess Stotras are recited at the place where Ghatasthapana is established for the nine days of Navratri.

There is a religious belief that worshipping the Goddess during Navratri will bring power, wealth, and knowledge. On this basis, followers of Vedic Sanatan Dharma perform special worship of Goddess Durga every year from the bright fortnight of Ashwin to the ninth day.

Also known as Durga Paksha, the first day of Dashain is dedicated to the worship of Shailputri, the second day to Brahmacharini, the third day to Chandraghanta, the fourth day to Kushmanda, the fifth day to Skanda Mata, the sixth day to Katyayani, the seventh day to Kaalratri, the eighth day to Mahagauri, and the ninth day to Siddhidatri. These nine forms of Durga are also called Nava Durga.

During Navratri, devotees throng the Shaktipeeths across the country to worship and have darshan. This year, the Shaktipeeths in the Kathmandu Valley have been specially decorated. Shaktipeeths, including Naxal Bhagwati, Maiti Devi, Kalikasthan, Bhadrakali and others, have been decorated with Diwali lights.
