Wildlife Photographer Chungba Sherpa Is No More Wildlife photographer Chungba Sherpa passed away at 64. He passed away at 12 midnight while undergoing treatment at Grande Hospital in Kathmandu.
Sherpa was a permanent resident of Lukla, Ward No. 1 of Khumbu Pasanglhamu Rural Municipality in Solukhumbu. According to his relative and ward chairman Funuru Sherpa, Chungba Sherpa was admitted to Grande Hospital in Kathmandu a week ago after developing health-related problems. According to the ward chairman, he had a liver problem. However, the detailed cause of death has not been made public yet.
His photos of rare wildlife such as red pandas, leopards, snow leopards, and black cows were very famous. Chungba was known as a great personality in wildlife photography due to his ability to take quality photos using quality gadgets. He was also well-known in the wildlife conservation community.
He used to post such photos and videos on social media platforms like Facebook and TikTok. His photography is also believed to have contributed greatly to Nepal’s tourism sector. The death of Chungba Sherpa, who made significant contributions to wildlife photography, has caused a deep loss to the wildlife photography field and the conservation community.
