ByteDance’s Response to the US: No Plans to Sell TikTok the parent company of TikTok, has said that it has no plans to sell its ownership of TikTok. In a statement on the Toutio platform, ByteDance stated that it has no plans to sell TikTok.
After US President Joe Biden signed a bill banning Tiktok from selling its ownership, ByteDance has responded and announced that it will not sell Tiktok for the first time, according to CNN.
“Reports in foreign media that ByteDance is looking to sell TikTok are untrue,” ByteDance wrote on the Toutio platform, adding, “ByteDance has no plans to sell TikTok.”
America’s ‘The Information’ published news that ByteDance is trying to sell the ownership of TikTok without the algorithm. Denying the same news, ByteDance has made it clear that it has no plans to sell Tiktok.
Both the Senate and the President have signed the bill passed by the US House of Representatives.
After the bill was signed in the US, Tiktok CEO So Chiu mentioned going to the US court. But the Chinese officials are silent on this matter.
