Google Fires 28 Employees After Protest at Office Google has fired more than two dozen employees who protested its cloud computing deal with the Israeli government. Google fired 28 employees after they were found protesting in the office.
The protesting employees protested at Google office premises in New York and California. Where they displayed banners that read ‘Don’t Genocide for Profit’, and ‘We stand with Palestinians, Arabs, and Muslim Googlers’.
Quoting the spokesperson of Google, various media have written that these employees have disrupted the work and after repeated requests not to disrupt the office, they had to take such a decision.
On the other hand, the employees who were expelled from their jobs have confirmed that Google considers the money coming from the project more valuable than its employees.
Not long ago, Google and Amazon signed a contract worth 1.2 billion dollars to provide cloud computing services to the Israeli government. Which is named ‘Project Nimbus‘.
